Turned Down

Tote Building, Catford Greyhound Stadium, Lewisham, London; GE Marshall & Partners, 1932

The building which was constructed to display the odds towards the stadium and to show a faux residential façade towards the adjacent park was turned down as it was felt the building was curious but not important enough to warrant listing. While English Heritage's advice was being processed by the DCMS, the tote board burnt down.
