The Desert Quartet with its supporting loggia, Alexander Terrace, Liverpool Gardens, Worthing, West Sussex, Elisabeth Frink; 1989, Grade II*

After a review of the original listing decision by DCMS, instigated by the owners of the sculptures, the Secretary of State, after over a year of consideration ageed to uphold the II* status. Whilst not unexpected, this is a major result for the Society who drew on a wide range of expertise and support, both national and local to fight the case. This is now the leading planning decision by the Secretary of State on the statutory protection of public sculpture.
