Canary Wharf—LFA
Monday 30 June, 6.30pm

The towers of Canary Wharf are a symbol of the success of the London Docklands regeneration, 100,000 people now work there yet, when the concept of redeveloping the derelict docks though an enterprise zone was first promoted nearly 30 years ago, success was far from assured, and the aims were initially more modest. This walk, with John Goodier and Ian McInnes, will touch on the history of regeneration in the area but concentrate more on the new buildings and specifically the public realm, the landscaping and the works of art.
