Street Corner Icons: Twentieth Century Underground Architecture
Saturday 21 June 10.00-16.00

Organised in conjunction with the London Transport Museum as part of the London Festival of Architecture, this seminar will look at the design of the early tiled Edwardian stations like Covent Garden in central London, the modernist suburban designs of Charles Holden on the Piccadilly Line and the conservation and modernisation of these heritage features today. Speakers to include Oliver Green, Head Curator, London Transport Museum, design historian, David Lawrence, Doug Rose and Mike Ashworth.
