  About our events

As part of our mission to educate and inform taste in Britain, the Society promotes a variety of activities which are open to Members.  During the Summer months walks and other visits to see buildings in all parts of the British Isles are arranged.  The tours may be just one day, or over a weekend.  We can open the doors to otherwise secret interiors, and enter buildings long forgotten.  Tour leaders provide detailed notes to accompany each visit.

Each year Members of the Society have the opportunity for a guided visit to a foreign city during a spring weekend.  Cities visited on past foreign tours include Antwerp, Berlin, Brussels, Chicago, Dublin, Helsinki, Ljubljana, Milan, Prague and New York.

The society runs a lively and varied events programme. The current programme is listed below in synopsis and is covered in the current edition of the newsletter in more detail. Unless otherwise indicated booking is in advance and is only open to members of the Society on a first come first served basis. Please note places are often limited so be sure to book early!

Events can only be booked in writing on the event booking forms contained with the members newsletter. For advanced notice of future dates please check this page as we intend to update it regularly.

For information on our current programme, choose 'Events Listings' from the menu.

We are always looking for suggestions for events.  If you have an idea please download and complete our form and let us have your ideas.
