As the Twentieth Century Society exists
to safeguard the heritage of architecture and design
in Britain from 1914 onwards, we are formally constituted
as a UK-registered educational charity.With education
as one of the Societys prime objectives, appreciation
and a better understanding of the built legacy of the
Twentieth Century follows.
Over the past twenty years the Society
has published many Notes to accompany tours, Proceedings
of conferences, and Journals, both as the Thirties Society
and under our present name. Taken together, these publications
represent a considerable body of scholarship on twentieth
century architecture and design.
